This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my blog. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)

…or something like this:

#BLACKJOBSMATTER – A Wilmington Experiment @ Baby Grand Theatre
Feb 25 @ 7:00 pm
#BLACKJOBSMATTER - A Wilmington Experiment @ Baby Grand Theatre | Wilmington | Delaware | United States

A movement born out of the desire to employ the over 9000+ unemployed black men in the City of Wilmington.
The movement is based on three key areas:

1. The solution to the crime problem is not more cops. It is jobs!

2. The solution to better academic performance of inner city kids is not new schools or different teachers, it is a safe nurturing home so our kids can do their homework and get parental encouragement. Jobs bring the father back into the home and create that atmosphere.

3. The solution to balancing the city’s budget is to get people off of welfare and onto the tax-paying rolls. Jobs do that.

While other eight-year-old girls were playing with Barbie dolls and braiding hair, Connie Drummond was writing. What started as a passion for the arts after a small role in a school play has now catapulted her to an award-winning playwright, producer, director and actress. As a recipient of the 2014 Benevolent Playwright Award, and as a 2015 nominee for the NAACP Image Awards Hometown Champion recognition, Drummond’s work does more than speak for itself—it serves as building blocks to her future.
But in the words of the late Maya Angelou, life for Drummond “ain’t been no crystal stair.”
While honing her craft through Evelyn Graves Drama Productions as a set designer, costume designer and backdrop artist, Drummond’s life suddenly came to a screeching halt. After enduring a mentally abusive marriage, she decided that this wasn’t just the end for her marriage—it was the end of her writing career. She didn’t pick up her pen again until five years later.
Shortly after relocation, she found the peace, creativity and imagination to write again. But this time, she let life dictate the development of her stories and productions. She joined Creative Touch Productions, serving as a set designer, costume director and marketing consultant. During this time, Drummond also perfected her skills as an actress, appearing in multiple roles for various affiliated production companies. In January of 2010, she decided to monopolize on her gifts and talents by founding Lady C Productions. This cultural arts entertainment company gives independent artists an opportunity to showcase and perfect their talents in drama, song, comedy, spoken word and visual arts.
Since the inception of Lady C Productions, Drummond has written and produced several stage plays, many of which she has been afforded the opportunity to present across the United States. Her stage play, NorthPhillyBillies, highlights life for one woman growing up in North Philadelphia and received the Peach Award. Drummond received the 2014 Benevolent Playwright Award, which is given for promoting community activism through theater, in Nassau, Bahamas. In that same space, she was honored to present the Renaissance Award to veteran actress, Ella Joyce, who is best known for her role in the TV sitcom, Roc
As a faithful member of Urban Playwrights United (UPU), she strives to give back to her community by partnering with organizations such as the Wilton Civic Alliance, Big Brother/Big Sisters of Delaware, The NAACP, Theatrical Delights Youth Theater Group and more. Every morning that she wakes up, her mission is clear: Carpe’ Diem—to seize the day!

“What happens when Momma holds on to her son too long? That’s precisely what we learn as Vivica Fox, Johnny Gill, Nephew Tommy, Jackee’ Harry, Shirley Murdock, “Lil G” from the R & B group Silk, and more unite to tell the story of a how a man is forced to change the life of a “Baby Boy” and turn him into a grown man.

In the 2001 hit movie “Baby Boy”, Jody plays a young man who resides and depends on his mother preventing her from having her own life. In this modern day adaptation of this classic movie, Autumn is forced to turn the life of her son over to her new fiancé who is committed to turning her baby boy into a man. Autumn’s son, Jody played by Lil G, is a spoiled young man who blames everyone else for his problems and his inability to become a man. Jody is unemployed and his mother still washes his clothes and cooks for him. Jody is used to living a life with just he and his mother that he feels no man is good enough.  Jody begins to question Aaron’s true intentions for his mother and challenges Aaron’s authority in the process. Autumn is now faced with the decision of choosing between her son and the man she is set to marry.

The O’Jays @ The Freeman Stage at Bayside
Jul 1 @ 7:00 pm

The O’Jays are touring history, a connection to an era and a sound that formed the soundtrack for the lives of several generations. The O’Jays are still hitting the road with the same electrifying energy they’ve had for over 50 years. Walter Williams and Eddie Levert first met when they were the ages of 6 and 7 respectively. As teenagers in Canton, Ohio, they formed a band originally consisting of Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey and Bill Isles. In 1963, the band took the name “”The O’Jays”” in tribute to Cleveland radio disc jockey Eddie O’Jay. Several members have changed, but the core, original lead singers Eddie Levert and Walter Williams, continue to front the group.

The O’Jays scored the first No. 1 and million-seller with “Backstabbers” and subsequently, they succeeded with various chart-topping pop and R&B singles including “Love Train,” “Put Your Hands Together,” “For The Love of Money,” “I Love Music,” “Darlin’ Darlin’ Baby (Sweet, Tender, Love),” “Livin’ For The Weekend” and “Use Ta Be My Girl.” This success propelled The O’Jays to be the first black vocal group to perform in arenas throughout America during the ’70s and ’80s.
The O’Jays were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2005 and honored with BET’s Life Time Achievement Award in 2009. In 2013, they were inducted into The Official R&B Music Hall of Fame. Throughout their career The O’Jays have achieved 10 Gold albums, 9 Platinum albums and 10 No. 1 hits. Eddie Levert Sr., Walter Williams Sr. and Eric Nolan Grant, who joined the group in 1995, continue to thrill fans today.

Dream Big where Art & Fashion Dream Together @ UD Clayton Hall
Oct 7 @ 12:46 pm – 1:46 pm
It is summer here in Delaware and everyone is at the beach watching the sun go down.  It’s a beautiful view, but fall will soon arrive.  The leaves on the trees will start to turn colors, and we are dreaming of ushering in the fall with a “Dream Big- Where Art & Fashion Dream Together” campaign.
This campaign will shine a spotlight on Delaware’s rich supply of talented local artist and highlights another form of art that does not always get its proper recognition in Delaware: Fashion.  We dream of a campaign that allows artists and fashion designers alike to share their creations in an intimate setting and allows for access to their creative forces we’ve only dreamed of.
Lee Brandon Christopher Studio, a small art studio with the audacity to Dream Big and connect artists and art lovers, will partner with renowned local artists Terrance Vann, Alim  “YesterdayNite” Smith, Marilyn Bauman, Ric Conn, Nicole Kristina and many more.  In conjunction with the University of Delaware’s school of fashion & art, we will feature the “Dream Big” Gala which will be a celebration of art, fashion and scholarship in the heart of our community.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the University of Delaware’s art and fashion student organizations for additional education and enrichment opportunities.  In addition, a portion of the proceeds will support artistic activities in the City of Wilmington by donating to several organizations that serve low-income families: Northeast Church of Christ, First State Church of Christ and TeenSharp.
The “Dream Big” art and fashion campaign is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated events in the area.
