This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:
Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my blog. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)
…or something like this:

Come celebrate Kwanzaa 2016 with the Afrikan Connection
WHAT IS KWANZAA
As an African American and Pan-African holiday celebrated by millions throughout the world African community, Kwanzaa brings a cultural message which speaks to the best of what it means to be African and human in the fullest sense. Given the profound significance Kwanzaa has for African Americans and indeed, the world African community, it is imperative that an authoritative source and site be made available to give an accurate and expansive account of its origins, concepts, values, symbols and practice.
Moreover, given the continued rapid growth of Kwanzaa and the parallel expanded discussion of it and related issues, an authoritative source which aids in both framing and informing the discussion is likewise of the greatest importance. Therefore, the central interest of this website is to provide information which reveals and reaffirms the integrity, beauty and expansive meaning of the holiday and thus aids in our approaching it with the depth of thought, dignity, and sense of specialness it deserves.
The holiday, then will of necessity, be engaged as an ancient and living cultural tradition which reflects the best of African thought and practice in its reaffirmation of the dignity of the human person in community and culture, the well-being of family and community, the integrity of the environment and our kinship with it, and the rich resource and meaning of a people’s culture. It is within this understanding, then, that the Organization Us, the founding organization of Kwanzaa and the authoritative keeper of the tradition, has established and maintains this website.

Inspirational performances include featured Storyteller, musician and vocalist TAHIRA; Richard Raw, wordsmith and community activist will perform with his blend of soul, spoken word, funk and hip-hop; and Griots Wa Umoja, a Performing Cultural Arts Ensemble, will present their mix of storytelling, percussion and dance. Meet Kingston Jones, an African American professional who appears to epitomize success, but is weighed down by several secrets. Despite his Ivy League education and workplace accomplishments, he is treated like a common criminal after being stopped by the police for a traffic violation. The event marks a pivotal point from which he is unable to return to his former life. The novel sheds light on someone who shows up one way in public, but is heavily burdened in private.
In 2006 Nahjee took a creative writing course because as a failing student he needed the extra credit to graduate on time. In 2010, after a series of working odd jobs, he changed course to pursue a career as an author. Three years later, his first book went into publication. Seven years later Nahjee has written seven picture books to encourage every child regardless of their age, color, or religion to be comfortable with who they are and gain the confidence to strive for success.
He was host of a daily television show for two years on Main Line Television from 2015 to 2017.
In 2016, Nahjee was presented with the Main Liners Who Give Back Award in recognition of his achievements as a top philanthropist on the Main Line.
Also in 2016 Nahjee founded All Children Equal Success to inspire children to keep from falling behind, pursue their dreams, and motivate them throughout the school year to stay focused on their goals.
