As part of its 2017-2018 Premier Artists lineup The Concert Series presents a performance by lyric-dramatic baritone, Thomas Beard, accompanied by Julia Morris-Myers and dancer Leandria Gilliam.

Lyric-Dramatic Baritone Thomas Beard is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina. In 2003 Thomas became the first African-American male singer to be personally chosen by Maestro & Famous Tenor Placido Domingo to be a part of Washington National Opera’s Placido Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program. working directly under the Maestro’s tutelage.

Mr. Beard has performed for numerous dignitaries, including U.S. Senators, Governors and Ambassadors in many concerts at Embassies and concert halls across the country. He was also invited to perform as special guest soloist by former First Lady Laura Bush at an invitation only event at the White House. For more information, go to his website

DESCRIPTION
The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture.

Trip Includes:
*R/T Ground Transportation from New Castle, Delaware
*Timed Passes to NMAAHC
*Self Guided tour of Washington DC
*Boxed breakfast which may include Bagel, Muffin Yogurt provided by ‘Desserts by Dana’, Fruit, Beverage and Coffee
*Lunch / Dinner are not included with ticket price however there will be a stop on the way home or time provided between the tours.

We will be leaving the DC area around 6pm after Museum closes.
Bus to leave from Wilmington University, 320 N. DuPont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720 and will return to the same location. Children ages 10 and up are encouraged to attend.

Please note: Passes are timed, which means entrance to the museum will vary. There timed passes are scheduled for 1:45pm, 2:15pm and 2:30pm and will be distributed the day of the trip based on trip purchase reservation. The bus will arrive and depart in enough time so every passenger will have an opportunity to tour the museum.
