Olivia Manning, alumna of Delaware State University proves beauty queens are more than a pretty face. Her platform is Mental Health Awareness which will involve healing, encouraging, learning and preventing mental illnesses in children and adolescents. Olivia will promote her platform throughout the state during her reign.
Olivia will go on to represent the state of Delaware in the 2017 Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant, August 2-7, 2017 in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. for the chance to earn a $5,000 academic scholarship, a trip to Africa, a shoe wardrobe

Miss Black USA is the nation’s premier pageant for women of color. The non-profit organization, headquartered in the state of Maryland, has awarded over $450,000 in scholarships to its participants to to date.
