According to a recent study by Intuit, starting a small business in the US costs as little as $325, making the dream of becoming an entrepreneur well within financial reach for most Americans. Sadly, within five years or less, 49% of those start-ups will crash and burn. This is a crucial statistic for Delaware, given that 93.5% of its employers are small businesses.
The issue is cyclical – without proper education about how to grow and sustain their business, small employers will likely fail. Without small business in Delaware creating more money and jobs, the state economy continues to struggle.
Business coach and marketing consultant, Darnyelle A. Jervey is all too familiar with this cycle. She coaches new and seasoned entrepreneurs on how to survive the dreaded five-year curse. Jervey insists that small businesses provide a win-win in this economy. She says: “Not only does owning your own business help your family’s budget, but it also allows you to give jobs to others, in turn helping their family’s budgets. I’m convinced, as are many financial experts, that this entrepreneurial cycle will heal the current poor economy.”
Jervey cautions that a great business idea is not enough to ensure success. An individual can be the top expert in his or her field or produce the best information, but none of that matters without solid marketing systems. It is with this in mind that she created a three-city tour called “Magnetize Your Marketing” – a groundbreaking entrepreneurial event happening February 28-29 and March 1, 2012, in Delaware, New York, and Washington DC.
“Magnetize Your Marketing” is a first-ever event in Delaware designed to help entrepreneurs learn how to smartly and authentically market their businesses, ensuring a steady flow of clients and profits. Jervey encourages all interested parties to visit ClientMagnetSecretsLive.com/MagnetizeTour for more details.
