Delaware native AJ English Brings Classics Back As A Positive Platform For Athletes

AJ English, Howard High School graduate and former NBA and European basketball league player Is partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of DE, Wilmington Parks and Recreation, Pritchett and Associates and BeBe Coker to bring back the Classics Basketball Tournament. The Classics, started by former City Councilman “Stormin” Norman Oliver, was a success basketball tournament that grew to hundreds of participants state-wide.

NY Streetballers from the AND1 Mixed Tape Tour will come to Seaford, Delaware, Saturday, March 24, 2012, to play exhibition basketball against Delmarva teams.

Competitions will take place at Seaford High School, beginning with Youth Games at 4:00 p.m., followed by Streetballers Women vs. Delmarva Women, and Streetballers Men vs. Delmarva Men.

The Links, Incorporated Host Annual "Chocolate Hour" Black History Celebration

On Saturday, February 25, 2012 the *Dover, Delaware Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will host its annual “Chocolate Hour,” a celebration of Black History through the Visual and Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public. Local musicians and artists including the visually and physically impaired will be featured. A chocolate hour would not be complete without dipping into a cascade of delicious melted chocolate with seasonal fruit and other fabulous dipping items and hot chocolate. There will also be a variety of bite-sized snacks to enjoy.
