2010 Miss Mid-Atlantic, Shaila Gillis, will be the guest speaker at the 1st Annual Women Destined For Greatness Dinner
K.I.S.H. Home, Inc. presents their 1st Annual Women Destined For Greatness Dinner on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Bread Of Life Christian Church, in Camden Wyoming, DE.
Embracing The Greatness Within You is the theme of K.I.S.H. Home’s 1st annual dinner. “We would like to show young women that they can make their dreams come true, if they are committed to putting in the work to make it happen,” says Kishma George, Founder of K.I.S.H. Home Inc. George states that in Delaware, there are limited resources tailored toward youth, especially young women. The 1st Annual Dinner will provide empowerment and support for these young women. Funds raised from the dinner will go towards K.I.S.H. Home Inc.’s goal, which is the purchase a transitional home for young women presently in, or have aged out of the foster care system in Delaware.
The guest speaker will be 2010 Miss Mid-Atlantic, Shaila Gillis. Shaila is a resident of Dover and has been in pageantry most of her life. Through her interactions in the pageant world and working with young women locally, Shaila has recognized that many young women lack self-esteem and have self-confidence issues. “I’m so happy to be working with and supporting the vision of K.I.S.H. Home, says Shaila, “I understand the importance of the development of young women and I look to working with the organization on future projects.” The dinner will also consist of a vendor showcase, silent auction, entertainment from the K.I.S.H. Home Mentoring Program Mentees and a mini fashion show. The attire for the dinner is semi-formal. Partners for this event include Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc’s Z HOPE Program (Zetas Helping Other People Excel).
Silent auction donations are still being accepted and vendor space is available.
