Tasteful
and enlightening, "She’s Worth Waiting For" is a captivating
book aimed for the teen and pre-teen world. Realistically focused on the
sensitive times where choices are vital, you will be able to look into
the lives of these young adults and learn as you read this book.
Readers have said “[This book is] a very positive and realistic
look into the lives of young adults who attempt to navigate through a
very important time in their lives -- Senior Year of High School. Dealing
with issues that every young adult comes across in one way or another:
friendships, relationships, love, sex, peer pressure, college, communication
with parents, etc., the journey of April and Lance is absolutely a must
read and hopefully will inspire our young people, particularly girls,
to believe that they're "Worth Waiting For". You won't be able
to put this book down!!!”
"She’s Worth Waiting For" was recommended by Maurice
M. Gray who is a writer, editor, counselor, speaker, and comedian; as
a “good Christian book. Self published by Boykins, this good read
has even been made into a short film! You can watch this film, produced
by Ben Foster Films, on Thursday March 26, 2009 at the Theater North at
Nemours 1007 Orange Street in Wilmington, DE. Show time starts at 6:30pm
so dress upscale casual and get ready to join the stars on the red carpet!
All ages are welcome and tickets are $10. Other films will be featured
as well.
Married and residing in Delaware, Tia Marie Boykins is in high spirits
as she watches her lifelong dreams become reality. Not only is this Philly
native an author and publisher who owns Creativ1 Publishing, she is the
founder of Teen Esteem Queens and was the winner of Best Author at the
2008 Delaware Black Awards! Doesn’t that make a statement?
Boykins
has, however, received feedback in regards to the sexual content of this
book from parents who apparently hasn’t read it in its entirety.
Boykins has stated, “That my book is not about abstinence. Instead
it speaks to both teens who are choosing to wait for a sexual relationship,
as well as those who have not waited, and outlines the circumstances of
both situations.”
Like they say don’t judge a book by its cover; I would consider
it equal when I say don’t judge a book by reading a few excerpts.
This is a good read and can be purchased online and in bookstores everywhere.
