Mind Ur Business Media is proud to announce; The Level Up $$$Grand Slam Talent Showcase, an event which gives independent vocal artists in the genres of R&B, Hip Hop, Dance and Pop Music the opportunity to take their careers to the next level while competing to win a grand, a thousand dollars, hence the name Level Up $$$Grand Slam. Level Up $$$Grand Slam will take place at Lavish in Wilm DE on Sunday May 7th 2017. Aside from the substantial cash prize, artists will showcase before an executive from Universal Records, a powerhouse label that houses the likes of Nicki Minaj, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, Elton John & Miley Cyrus and also compete for radio spins. Def Jam’s R&B heartthrob, “Slow Jukin” Young Steff will not only be mentoring and judging artists but will show them how it’s done, performing as the headliner. His video Slow Jukin has a cult following and has been emulated by hundreds of fans on Youtube.
Another major brand judging the talent is Allhiphop.com, the pioneering Hip Hop news website that laid the blueprint for urban online magazines more than 20 years ago and remains a force today. Allhiphop.com will be lending their prolific journalist, King “Dom” Draper to judge. Other prizes include a live streaming interview and airplay, sponsored by internet radio station Below Da Surface. R&B singer Lauren Shaye will participate as a judge and mentor and also pay tribute to late gospel singer Thomas Clay, affectionately known as T.C.
Level UP Grand Slam will be hosted by radio personality Rob Jay of OC 104FM with DJ GQ, also of OC 104, on sound. Each of the influencers and brands involved represent a networking connection for artists and an opportunity for individual exposure on each platform. The format allows for maximum exposure with a limited amount of selected performers, in contrast with crowded showcase tours with hundreds of artists that often get lost in the shuffle. The event is planned along the spirit and caliber of its sister event also organized by MUBM, the acclaimed Mind Ur Business Music Conference but without the panelists. Each showcasing artist receives two free passes all with V.I.P upgrade to honor the thankless work of the independent artist community.
Sponsorships are available for media, entertainment and creative arts entities that wish to align themselves with Level Up Grand Slam’s brands and set up or interact at the event. The Grand Slam is designed to create more than the illusion of an opportunity and instead provide and foster solid, serious and legitimate opportunities for networking and career advancement.
